Why we recommend it
The Apothecary Diaries is a mystery series with a heroine who notices everything and trusts almost nobody. Its court setting gives each case social stakes, while Maomao’s dry curiosity keeps the show from becoming solemn; the result is clever, atmospheric, and quietly addictive.
